My client is looking to recruit an Environmental Construction Support professional (Environmental Clerk of Works) to join their growing environmental team in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of renewable energy, housing and transport infrastructure projects, ensuring environmental commitments are successfully delivered throughout the construction phase.

The Opportunity
Working as part of a multidisciplinary environmental team, you'll provide on-site environmental advice, monitor compliance with planning conditions and environmental legislation, and work closely with contractors and clients to deliver practical environmental solutions.
You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects while developing your technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site environmental support across a range of construction projects.
Monitor compliance with planning conditions, licences and environmental commitments.
Carry out environmental audits and compliance inspections.
Advise contractors on environmental best practice and mitigation measures.
Prepare Environmental Clerk of Works reports and site inspection records.
Develop Surface Water Management Plans and Pollution Prevention Plans.
Liaise with clients, contractors, regulators and project stakeholders.
Identify environmental risks and recommend practical mitigation measures.
Support project delivery to agreed budgets and programmes.
Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
About You
Applicants are likely to have:
A degree in Environmental Management or a related environmental discipline.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
A full UK driving licence.
The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in any of the following would be particularly beneficial:
Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW) duties.
Construction environmental management.
Working with contractors on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
Environmental compliance auditing.
Pollution prevention and surface water management.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
CAR, SuDS and flood risk management.
Environmental legislation and regulatory compliance.
CSCS Card.
Membership of the Association of Environmental Clerks of Works (AECoW).
